Our Practice Doctors

Dr. Anthony Knight
MBBS, Dip Obs, (RANZCOG), Dip Anaes

Anthony has been practicing General Medicine since 1983. He is a family practitioner with special interests in Aged Care. When Tony isn’t at the clinic, he enjoys playing golf and following the AFL.

Dr. David Rodgers

Dr David Rodgers (MB,BS Uni of Qld 1983, Dip Obs (Advanced) 1996, FACRRM 1996) is an experienced rural GP who has practiced in Benalla since 1998. He acquired the first Diploma of Obstetrics (Advanced) in 1996 and also has had 20 years experience in providing anaesthetics in a rural setting. Currently he has an interest in disability, mental health, addiction medicine and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as the full range of rural general practice. He one of the founders and current president of the Benalla based charity Capability Building Inc and also of EdSpace Education and Training Centre.

Dr. Sarah Hancock

Sarah is one of the practice owners. She is passionate about patient centred care and treats all her patients and staff with dignity, respect and compassion. She enjoys the constant variety that rural general practice provides.

Dr. Bruce Buckley 

Bruce has been practicing since 1978 and has a Fellowship in General Practice. His particular areas of interest include Obstetrics and Anesthetics. When Bruce isn’t consulting he enjoys gardening and travelling.

Dr. Archie Collyer
MD BSc. (Hons)

Archie returned to Carrier Street as a general practice registrar in 2019 after an intern placement with us in 2017. He embraces the variety and challenges of rural general practice including emergency and procedural work.

Dr. Carli Weatherhead
Dr Carli Weatherhead graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2012. After undertaking her internship in Launceston, she completed her hospital training in Wangaratta.
Carli’s interests include women’s and children’s health, shared obstetric care and preventative medicine. 
Outside work, Carli enjoys spending time with her young family and being involved in various community groups.
Dr. Haris Narendra
Dr Haris Narendra graduated from James Cook University in North Queensland and is originally from New Zealand. He will be working as a general practice registrar in 2020. Haris embraces rural general practice and has special interests in palliative care, skin, minor procedures and population health.  Outside of work Haris enjoys socialising, playing sport and playing music.
Dr. Lexie Black
Lexie is completing her internship at Carrier Street Clinic and Wangaratta Hospital after graduating from Deakin University last year. Her interest areas include women’s health, sexual health and rural health. Outside of work she enjoys hiking and spending time with her dog.
Dr. Ashlea Coxhill 
Medical student

Ashlea is a third year medical student studying at the University of Melbourne. She is completing her rural GP placement at Carrier Street Clinic. Outside of study she enjoys playing netball and tennis, as well as catching up with friends over coffee.
