Doctors

Dr Kalaivani (Vani) Suntharalingam

Vani is a qualified medical professional with a passion for general practice. She holds an MBBS degree from a renowned medical school in Sri Lanka along with a Diploma in Family Medicine (DFM-SL). She has also completed a certificate in Emergency medicine from Australia making her well-versed in providing emergency medical care. She has professional interest in GP, Skin cancer and emergency medicine.
She can speak English, Tamil and Sinhala.

Dr Belinda Lacy

Belinda is returning to Carrier Street Clinic in 2024 as a General Practitioner after enjoying working here as an Intern and Registrar.
She has a keen interest in rural medicine, having grown up in North East Victoria. After initially studying international relations as an undergraduate and then working in school administration, Belinda was ready for a new challenge and went back to university to study medicine. Outside of work, Belinda keeps busy with her own family, as well as extended family and friends who live in the area.

Dr Patrick McDonald

Patrick has studied his Doctor of Medicine from Deakin University and Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Monash University.
Dr McDonald is currently training in the Rural Generalist Program and has special interests in palliative care.
Outside of work he enjoys hiking, running, cycling, enjoying the beautiful Northeast Region of Victoria and following the Geelong Cats in the AFL

Dr Lexie Black

Dr Lexie Black is returning to Carrier Street Clinic in 2024.
Her interest areas include women’s health, sexual health and rural health. Outside of work she enjoys hiking and spending time with her dog.
